While you don’t need much at all to get started, there are some resources that will make your journey to $$$ easier and faster. So let’s dive into the top resources you’ll want to snag to start your digital product business.

Canva
We need to talk about Canva for a second. First of all, it’s great and you will be using it constantly. Second of all, it has its limitations.
Unfortunately, you CANNOT use any of the lovely templates that you see in Canva to create products that you will sell. Even with Canva Pro, it’s a no-go.
So while Canva is easy to use and a vital part of pretty much every digital product business, you will want to look elsewhere for templates and other assets for commercial use.
This brings me to…
The Secret Weapon
The Secret Weapon is a monthly PLR membership that can literally be your secret weapon!
PLR stands for Private Label Rights. As a member, you can take anything from the extensive and always-growing library of beautifully designed digital products and sell them as your own.
This saves you from having to create products completely from scratch.
Another great thing about Secret Weapon is that the creators (Jessa and Evelyn) are researchers. They create new products for the membership regularly that are based on current Etsy trends. So becoming a member can cut down on your trends research and creation time. Win-win!
Planify
Y’all. This new software is so darn cool. If you want to create and sell PDF printable planners, Planify Pro is where it’s at.
Planify Pro provides thousands of starter templates or you can build your own planner pages with layout, widget, and design features. Planners pages can be downloaded in basically every imaginable size and you can easily resize pages with the click of a button.
Ok, but what about using Planify Pro for commercial use? You will need a business account which is slightly more expensive than a personal account. The commercial use license is simple and quite generous.
Planify Pro is quite new and honestly, could become everyone’s new favorite planner-creation software. It’s just so easy to make beautiful planners!
Creative Fabrica
If you’re looking for fonts, graphics, or mockups to use in your digital products business, Creative Fabrica is one of my favorite places to look.
Everything you buy from Creative Fabrica automatically includes their simple commercial license.
You can either purchase items individually or get a monthly subscription that gives you access to hundreds of thousands of assets. Honestly, the monthly subscription is shockingly affordable, so I’d recommend that for most sellers.
